Marine Mining Vessel Solutions
A certified support vessel equipped with borehole mining technology for alluvial tin extraction in offshore and riverine waters, an integrated solution from vessel to extraction technology.
We offer an integrated solution for tin mining operators who require a reliable offshore platform: an Anchor Handling Towing & Supply (AHTS) vessel equipped with and operating alongside a patented borehole mining technology “Galaxy 2 Fold” enabling efficient, precise, and low-impact alluvial tin extraction directly from the vessel platform.
THE PLATFORM: MV BIG HORN RIVER
Operating Platform
A World-Class Certified Support Vessel
As the primary operating platform, MV Big Horn River is an Anchor Handling Towing & Supply (AHTS) vessel proven in international offshore operations, now configured to support borehole-mining-based tin extraction operations in coastal and riverine waters. The vessel is made available through a partnership, PT Cahaya Fortuna Indonesia provides access to this platform for mining operators, following the same partnership model used with Archer and Tegralux.

THE TECHNOLOGY: GALAXY 2 FOLD BOREHOLE MINING
Extraction Technology Onboard
Proven Patented Breakthrough Borehole Mining Technology
Operated directly from the vessel’s deck, Galaxy 2 Fold enables alluvial tin mining to depths beyond 200 meters through small-diameter boreholes, without the large-scale dredging required by conventional methods.
Technology Advantages
- Deep Mining Capability: reaches deposits beyond 200 meters, surpassing conventional alluvial methods
- Environmentally Responsible: small-diameter boreholes, no large-area dredging, minimal impact on surrounding areas
- High Extraction Capacity ±300 MT of sand per hour, targeting 10+ MT of tin concentrate recovery per day per borehole
- Precision Mapping electromagnetic scanning to target high-value deposits before drilling
- Targeted Operating Radius each borehole point can mine within a 20-meter radius without disturbing surrounding areas
- Fuel Efficiency approximately 355 liters of diesel per hour
Onboard Processing Plant
Extracted sand is processed directly into 72–74% tin concentrate through the following equipment:
- Trommel Screen
- Centrifugal
- Concentrators
- Spiral Separators
- Shaking Tables
- Magnet Separator
Power & Water Requirements
Electrical consumption: ± 856.9 kW
Water consumption: ± 2,000 m³ per hour
WHY THIS COMBINATION WORKS
One Platform, A Complete Solution
Combining a certified AHTS vessel with patented borehole mining technology means mining operators do not need to manage two separate contractors, vessel mobilization and extraction operations run as a single, unified service, from platform positioning at the mining site to concentrate ready for delivery.
3 Key Points
- Mobility: the vessel can relocate between mining points based on electromagnetic mapping results
- Self-Sufficient Offshore Operation: tank capacity and accommodation support extended operations without frequent return to port
- Ready-to-Process Output: 72–74% tin concentrate is produced directly onboard, reducing the need to transport raw material
PARTNERSHIP MODEL
How We Work With You
We offer the vessel platform together with the Galaxy 2 Fold borehole mining technology through a charter (rental) scheme, covering the vessel unit, certified crew and operators, the onboard processing plant, and technical support for the duration of the charter.
Minimum charter duration and pricing structure are tailored to each client’s operational needs. Contact Us for a quotation.
